Love (By Affi)

Yes, just like the topic says today we are going to disqus about "love". ^^

Love encompasses a variety of different emotional and mental states, typically strongly and positively experienced, ranging from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure. Love can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection, as "the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another". It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self or animals.
You can find two main types of love and they are,
Impersonal Love - People can be said to love an object, principle or goal to which they deeply committed and greatly value.
Interpersonal Love - Interpersonal love refers to love between human beings. This is most closely associated with interpersonal relationships. Such love might exist between family members, friends and couples.

Ancient Greeks identified four forms of love. We can identify them like this,
Agape - Agape means love in modern-day Greek. It generally refers to a "pure," ideal type of love. It has also been translated as "love of the soul".
Eros - Eros is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. Eros is initially felt for a person, with contemplation it becomes an appreciation of the beauty within that person, or even becomes appreciation of beauty itself. Eros helps the soul recall knowledge of beauty and contributes to an understanding of spiritual truth. Some translations list it as "love of the body".
Philia - Philia is a dispassionate virtuous love. It includes loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality, and familiarity. Philia is motivated by practical reasons; one or both of the parties benefit from the relationship. It can also mean "love of the mind."
Storge - Storge is natural affection, like that felt by parents for offspring.
Not only Ancient Greeks, there are many forms of love identified by other cultures too. Such as Ancient Roman, Chinese, Japanese etc. But we are not gonna talk about them now. (If you are interested you can find them in the Wikipedia)
So let's see some related things to love.
Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast dayhonoring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world.
Love at first sight
Love at first sight is a personal experience and a common trope in literature: a person, character, or speaker feels an instant, extreme, and ultimately long-lasting romantic attraction for a stranger upon the first sight of that stranger.
Roses
People usually give roses to express their love to others. So we can say that roses are a symbol of love. (We talked about roses in an another thread)
