Fall, Rain and Shooting Stars! - Chapter 1: Raining New Life/ Part 1 (By I.Z.Z.Y)

Hey Everyone! So about a month ago i sent out a discussion that was to help me get ideas for my new story . I'm proud to say that i finally finished chapter 1 of the story and Hope you all read it and enjoy it!

About:

This Story that is focused around 16 year old Sasaki Ai, who just transferred to Akiseki High School. A school which seems normal to the outsiders, but is actually a school for the Gifted Wielders of the Shinzui. Ai will meet many different characters with their own stories, and will learn about her power, What it means and to unfold the truth of what really happened seventeen years ago... 

GENRE: School, Horror, Supernatural, Slice of Life, Mystery, Drama, Action, Super Power.

Now lets get on with the story!

Ai abruptly awoke with a gasp to the sudden sound of a train horn blaring through the dense cold of the night. Ai released annoyed “ugh” and yawned as she sat up and looked around the train cabin and sighed for not a soul was in sight. 

She wrapped her arms around her knees and clenched the run down red blanket covering her at the realization of this. It wasn’t long ago that there were a few people which accompanied her in the train cart, “I suppose they have all reached their destinations by now. I guess I must of fell asleep. It was only just the evening wasn’t it?” She thought to herself and looked out the window, only to be greeted with unidentifiable darkness.

Ai could barely make out what was outside, but then the soft moonlight peeked out of the clouds and shined upon delicate hills and plentiful farmland that surrounded the area for miles and only had a few number of houses to be seen. “Still not there yet?” Ai mumbled to herself disappointedly as she eagerly looked out the window, hoping to gather more information on where she was. Then in the distance she could see a group of soft lights in the distance which she gathered to be her destination and she instantly smiled gleefully.

“I’ll be arriving to Takishika soon!” Ai happily thought while standing up to put her white jumper on that she was using as a pillow and packing the blanket away into her backpack which laid next to her tiny suitcase. She then gathered her hair together and tied it up in high ponytail although her bangs fell upon her forehead, for they were too short to be tied. Then just as she was tightening her ponytail, she heard and familiar “DRIP DROP DRIP DROP”

“Huh?” Ai looked up and out the window and saw drops of water falling from the sky, the moonlight made the droplets shine like little diamonds falling helplessly from the black starry sky. She gasped slightly and smiled at the sight and thought perhaps that the beautiful rain was welcoming her to her new life.

“Let’s make it a good one then.”

It was a chilly night and Ai shivered as the cold breeze swept against her bare neck, she pulled out her ponytail quickly and her hair gracefully fell down past her shoulders for her hair went down to her waist. “Perhaps I misjudged how cold it would be…” Ai pondered as she continued to walked down the lonely road as the street lights overhead slightly flickered, Ai felt a bit uncomfortable being outside in the dead of the night so she quickly picked up her pace and began to speed walk.

Ai approached a large building which looked like a school, the sign next to the entry read Akisaki High school. 

“Finally! Geez, that took forever to walk!” Ai quietly complained to herself as stretched before pulling her back pack off her shoulder and fumbling through items then pulling out a laminated student key card with her student details on it. After zipping her bag up Ai excitedly speeded over to the key card lock next to the gate and scanned her student key card.

“ACCESS GRANTED” A robotic voice suddenly announced over the speaker next to the key card lock. 

Ai slightly squealed in excitement as she grabbed her suitcase and rushed through the now open gates, “I’ve always wanted to do that!” Ai thought happily and smiled as she walked down the pathway towards the school that she could barely make out in the darkness then made a right turn towards another building which she read on school map was her dorm.

After scanning her key card yet again to enter the dormitories, Ai noticed that it looked so… simple. The room had light wooden floor boards, white drywall, a wooden stairwell in the centre with two doors beside it which were bathrooms for boys and girls, as said so on the signs above the doors.

Ai smiled happily as she made her way up the stairs and was confronted with two signs on the wall at the top of the stairs. One sign pointed to the left and in big red letters “BOYS” and the sign next to it pointed right and said “GIRLS”.

Ai walked down the right hallway and saw rooms on both sides with numbers on the doors and sign posts which had student’s names on them. “Wait what room am I in again?” Ai suddenly realized as she stopped in the middle of the hallway and looked at her student key card.

“Room 6?” Ai read on the card then continued walking down the hallway. She looked to her left and right and finally spotted room 6 in the centre of the hallway on the left. 

Ai put her suitcase down at the front door and scanned the front door. The sign read on the door, “Yuno & Yuzu, Misaki & Yuzuki.”

“Are these people my roommates?” Ai wondered as she pulled out a key from her jumper pocket and anxiously inserted it into the lock, she turned the key and took a deep breath and opened the door fully wide. She nervously stepped into the pitch-black room, not knowing what to expect as she reached for the light switch. 

“Hello?” Ai called out as she turned on the light.
