“ROBBER! THIEF! HOME INVADER! EVERYONE RUN FOR YOUR LIVES, ILL HOLD EM DOWN!” 

Before Ai knew it, she was being tackled to the ground by a girl who looked about Ai's age, with short light pink hair which barely reach her shoulders and sparkling emerald colour eyes.

“HEY! LET ME GO!” Ai shouted as she tried to squirm away, however it was pointless, for her fate was already sealed. The girl had Ai’s arms pinned down and was sitting firmly on her stomach, which made Ai desperately gasp for breath as the wind was knocked out of her.

“What’s going on?” Another girl questioned as she opened a bedroom door while rubbing her eyes. This girl had long, straight magenta coloured hair which appeared to reach to her knees. She also had had bright emerald colour eyes, so Ai instantly assumed they were twins. “Hopefully this one is more sane than the other!” Ai thought.

“Help me, please” Ai choked as if she put all her remaining oxygen in those words, her words were also accompanied by a helpless look towards the girl with the long hair.

“No one will help you. Teehee.” The short haired girl said a mischievous light-hearted tone with an 'evil' smile.

“Misaki get off her! She’s the new roommate I told you about.”

“Eh? There’s a new roommate? You didn’t tell me!”

“Yeah I did! I told you last night. When you were in your room. I told you I got a phone call from the principal saying we had a new roommate. Don’t you remember?”

“Um.” The girl called Misaki had loosed her grip on Ai and looked at the floor, trying to piece together what the girl called Yuzuki said. Misaki had a painfully clueless expression on her face as she looked at Yuzuki. She was clearly oblivious.

Yuzuki immediately rushed over and grabbed Misaki by a wandering hair strand which sat upright on top of her head and pulled her off Ai, where Ai then stood up and took a couple deep breaths as she now able to properly breathe.

“You were playing a game while I was talking to you, weren’t you?” Yuzuki yelled at Misaki as she repeatedly cried out “Let go of my hair!” and “I’m sorry!”

“I TOLD YOU TO PAUSE GAMES WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU!” Yuzuki immediately smacked Misaki’s head a couple times. Ai looked on in confusion. "Clearly they have some issues." Ai wondered.

“But Sis!” Misaki pouted as she rubbed her head with her hands while Yuzuki stood next to her with her hands on her hips. Yuzuki looked as if she was a troubled mother who was disciplining their child for misbehaving. “Are sisters meant to slightly abuse each other? And how has no one woken up yet?” Ai wondered.

“Geez.” Yuzuki sighed then remembered Ai’s presence as she was standing near the doorway watching them.

“Sorry about her.” Yuzuki apologized and walked over to Ai while Misaki continued to silently pout on the floor.

“My name is Sakurai Yuzuki and this is my younger sister, Sakurai Misaki.” Yuzuki bowed a bit and then smiled warmly.

Misaki seemed to finally recovered from the abuse and quickly arose then she slightly bowed to Ai, “Sorry for tackling you, I thought you were an intruder. One can never be too careful.” Misaki quickly gained positive attitude and happily smiled while performing a comedic karate chop.

“She seems like a really positive kind of person.” Ai thought while smiling.

Yuzuki playfully rolled her eyes at Misaki and looked to Ai.

“So, what’s your name?” Yuzuki asked politely.

“Oh, and where’s your twin?” Misaki followed, while looking at the front door way then back at Ai.

“My name is Sasaki Ai. As for my twin… I haven’t seen her since…” Ai trailed off from her answer and she looked down a bit sadly, but more so she looked as if she wasn’t to talk about it yet.

“Oh.” Misaki and Yuzuki said it bit of shock of Ai’s response.

There were a few moments of awkward silence as the three looked at each other like they were all waiting for one person to break the tension.

Suddenly, Misaki piped up and skipped over to Ai in a flash and started rotating around her with a quick pace, as if she was taking in all her features.

Then Misaki stopped moving and stood still right in front of Ai with her bright emerald eyes sparkling.

“Your really pretty!” Misaki exclaimed with a smile and Ai replied with a thank you, a smile and returned a compliment back. So, from there a bit of polite chatter was exchange between the three.

The subject soon moved on and Ai looked around the apartment. It was a cute and somewhat spacious area with basic Japanese feel to it. It had a small kitchen to left of the door way, a small living room with a medium sized blue couch and newish tv in the far-left corner of the room. There was also a small tatami table on a tatami rug between the kitchen and the living room. Also, a spacious hallway down the centre of the room which appeared to have a numerous number of doors heading off to other rooms.

“This is a nice place…” Ai muttered to herself as she walked around the room in fascination, taking in all the details of her new home. Apparently, Ai’s curiosity got the best of her.

After having a short look around, Ai turns her attention back to the girls who watched her curiously.

“We have school tomorrow so be up early!” Misaki suddenly spurts out as she makes a friendly peace sign and skips away down the hall to her bedroom.

“She’s an odd one that one.” Yuzuki said with a chuckle and shook her head.

“Anyway, You must be tired. I’ll show you to your room.” Yuzuki says as Misaki closes her bedroom.

“Thanks!” Ai yawned and stretched her arms as she followed Yuzuki to the first door down the hallway on the right side. Ai now sees that there are six doors, three both on each side and a one door at the end of the hallway with the sign “Bathroom” on it.

Ai excitedly opens the door she is lead to and flicks the light switch on. It was a small rectangle room with standard white walls and light wooden floors, it had single bed with white bed sheets that laid across the back wall. A small desk was at the foot of the bed accompanied with a black desk chair and a small lamp. There was also an in-wall closet on the left to the door way and a medium sized window at the back wall with floral curtains.

Ai immediately took a liking to the room and put her suitcase and bag in the right corner and jumped onto her bed. Ai looked up at white ceiling and squeezed the sheets with her hands as she sighed contently and smiled.

“It’s perfect.”

Soon after Yuzuki said goodnight and went to bed, Ai got into comfortable pyjamas and snuggle into her own bed and stared at the ceiling. “They are very nice people. I’m so happy I got into a dorm with them! Oh yeah, I have two other roommates, don’t I? Hm… ill probably see them in the morning then. Yeah. In the morning…” And with that last thought, Ai drifted to sleep.

It was a familiar place to Ai. She recognized orange walls which she always disliked as a child. She was standing in front of a mirror, observing herself for some reason.

Ai was wearing a yellow dress with petite little sakura flowers, although she noticed that her face was blurry in the mirror. She was unidentifiable. Ai looked around the room and finally remember it, it was her parent’s bedroom in her old childhood home.

“Ai! Come and play with me big sis!” A child voice rang in the hair as Ai walked out the room and turned left down a hallway. Although, she didn’t want to, it was as if she couldn’t control her own actions and could only scream in her thoughts.

Ai came to a small place next to a dining room and encountered a young girl sitting on the floor playing with some blocks. The girl had long navy-blue hair with dark red tips and was wearing a dress similar to Ai’s except it was red.

“Won’t you play with me, Sis?” The girls voice turned dark and then was suddenly several steps away, standing over a man’s body with her hands covered in blood and a mist of darkness swirling around her.

“He didn’t play for long. How boring! Idiot!” The girl uttered coldly and spat on him as the mortified Ai watched a pool of blood spread from the man. Ai dropped her jaw in horror as she looked at that man’s soulless, dead eyes and horrific, deep cuts all over his slightly mutilated body.

“P-Papa?” Ai looked at the body and her heart wrenched with pain as she realized the man was her father.

The girl turned her head and looked at Ai with the evillest smile she had ever encountered. Ai quaked in unimaginable fear as the misty darkness surrounding the girl began to point towards Ai as if it was preparing to shoot. Ai knew she was going to die like her father did.

“Can you play with me longer than that idiot could?”

“MEI!”
