Introduction:
Hi again.
Today's thread is on the third way to find meaning in life, transcendence. Finding meaning in life from belonging and purpose may seem straightforward and obvious, but something like transcendence may not be one of the first things brought up when talking about how to find your own life meaning.

Third Pillar: Transcendence
Transcendence is a phenomenon that one may experience through a number of things. It's a state of mind that is above just yourself, and becoming part of something more. This can be a lot of things, for example: religion/church, art, writing, reading, being in nature, sports or even using psychedelic drugs (don't do drugs kids).
Many times this phenomenon may be known as being in "the zone" (kuroko no basket fans lose it). It's a state of intense concentration and your mind is completely focuses on the task at hand. This applies in sports, writing, gaming, reading and many others. It's when you completely "zone out" all unnecessary information to become completely immersed in what you're doing. This can result in an increase in natural adrenaline which can increase your focus even more.
Transcendent experiences aren't just small experiences though. Studies show that these experiences can actually change you as a person. The most notable case of transcendence is religion. This is when people find meaning in living not for yourself or others, but rather for a higher being or purpose. Finding meaning in a god or enlightenment in Buddhists case, is something that many people turn to, especially in their older years when things like purpose or belonging aren't as prevalent.

Conclusion:
The threads are progressively getting shorter as I slowly lose my will to live. Did you read it all? Who knows, and who cares?
