Siblings (By Affi)

As you can see today we are going to talk about siblings. I am sure all of you guys already know who siblings are but let's see how Wikipedia defines them;

A sibling is one of two or more individuals having one or both parents in common. A full sibling is a first-degree relative. A male sibling is a brother, and a female sibling is a sister. In most societies throughout the world, siblings often grow up together, thereby facilitating the development of strong emotional bonds. The emotional bond between siblings is often complicated and is influenced by factors such as parental treatment, birth order, personality, and personal experiences outside the family.

Brotherhood

Brotherhood is the relationship between two brothers of the same family. The special thing about brotherhood is they don't always get along very well. But even though they don't show it to the outside world, they will truly help each other when it is necessary.

There are many anime that show us brotherhood and here are two examples for it;

Rin & Yukio from Ao no exorcist

I know most of you guys have watched this anime and already know about these two. When it comes to their relationship these two have very different personalities. Sometimes, they even fight with each other but you can see how close they are when you watch this anime.

Tsurugi Kyousuke & Yuuchi from Inazuma Eleven Go

Yuuchi is the older brother of Kyousuke in Inazuma Eleven Go also Yuuchi is a very nice, friendly, kind and a very caring brother. In the beginning of the anime Kyousuke is shown to be a character with a cold and dark personality. But after having an incident with his brother he later became a quiet type character who cares a lot about others even though he doesn't show it. And that shows us how strong their brotherhood is.

Sisterhood

Sisterhood is the relationship between two sisters of the same family. They can almost always count on their sisters to help out when it comes to trouble. Here is a example to sisterhood in anime.

Mairu & Kururi from Durarara

Mairu and Kururi are twin sisters but even they have different personalities. Despite their different personalities they have a very strong and protective sisterhood bond between them. (I really can't remember another example for this ^^')

Twins

There are two types of twins: Identical and fraternal. Identical twins have exactly the same genes whilst fraternal twins are no more similar than regular siblings. There are so many animes with twins and here are some examples of it.

Ichiru & Zero from Vampire Knight

Ichiru and Zero are both vampire hunters. Zero has natural aptitudes that Ichiru does not and even he loves his brother, he at the same time also hates him. In the anime they are many scenes that shows this and some scenes show that Zero really love his twin brother no matter what he does to him and that proves they are really twins.

Hikaru & Kaoru from Ouran Koukou Host Club

These two are identical twins and most people can't tell which twin is which. Because of this, their bond is seemingly impossible to break. In the anime they work as hosts and show some of the best taboo moments of brotherly love.

Brothers and Sisters (normal siblings)

Having a sibling is not always easy but it becomes really wonderful if the relationship is strong. Let's see some examples of that;

Screwed Up Siblings

There are some animes with screwed up siblings. These types of siblings don't have a good relationship and always try to hurt each other. Sometimes they even try to kill each other. We can see many reasons for these actions and 'living too apart from childhood' and 'bad parent relationship' can be seen commonly.

Romance

We can see that some animes have romance between siblings. Most of the time this can be seen between in siblings without any genetic ties or removed cousins. This can be seen in vampires too.
