Hello guys, hope everyone is doing great. How about we talk about anime villains today?

Who are villains? Wiki answers to that question like this,

A villain (also known as, "baddie", "bad guy", "evil guy", "heavy" or "black hat") is an "evil" character in a story, whether a historical narrative or, especially, a work of fiction. The villain usually is the antagonist (though can be the protagonist), the character who tends to have a negative effect on other characters. A female villain is occasionally called a villainess. Random House Unabridged Dictionary defines villain as "a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel; or a character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot".

Every good hero needs a villain. Without villains they will be just like the random people. This includes to anime too. What would anime be without cool villains to heroes to fight with?

Anime is very famous for villains. Some villains are so cool that we like them more than the heroes and some are so uncool that we don't even remember them in the end. Let's see some cool villain characters who made their names unforgettable.

LELOUCH VI BRITANNIA (Code Geass)

Lelouch was not a bad guy in the beginning but after the incidence happened in his childhood and after having the 'Geass' he became a villain little by little. What will you do if there is an evil you cannot defeat by just being a hero? Lelouch had the same question and he found the answer to be this, "To defeat evil, I shall become an even greater evil".

But is Lelouch actually the evil? Hmmm...For me he is technically a hero and also a villain. What do you guys think? Is he a hero, villain or both?

GILGAMESH (Fate/Stay Night)

The best villain in Fate Series. He is not just a villain, a handsome one too..XD. Gilgamesh is a arrogant character who like to see and have the best things in the world. He like to say "Mongrel" to others very much. As a villain he has so much power that even the so called hero is technically no match for him. 

IZAYA ORIHARA (Durarara)

Yeah, the interesting villain of all villains. Izaya love human kind so much that he cannot even stop himself from using them as his pawns for his own entertainment. Izaya love to change the rules in the world and play it as a game. Izaya don't have any supernatural powers, he only have his great brain that can do anything and that makes him more awesome.

LIGHT (Death Note)

Light was a good person before he found the 'Death Note'. After finding it he started to kill criminals and latter he started to kill people who go against him. In the end he had murdered thousands of people.

Anime villains do not always stay as villains forever, they sometimes switched sides and turn good. Is that even possible for a great villain to become a good person suddenly? Yes, it is. We cannot say that they will be so good that they won't even think of making fun of others but they still can be good than before. Still don't believe me? Then here are some great villains who turned good.
